David Kleffman Named Director of Operations at EMS Lightspeed Mfg.
 Haverhill, Massachusetts, USA -- Lightspeed Manufacturing Inc., a leading contract manufacturer of printed circuit electronics assemblies, has named David Kleffman to the position of Director of Operations. David is a highly experience electronics manufacturing engineer well-known in the area and local high-tech community for his expertise and his years at Sanmina Corp. in nearby Southern New Hampshire. In his new position, David will oversee Lightspeed’s EMS electronic contract manufacturing operations, ensuring that products are manufactured to the highest quality standards and shipped on time to the customer.
David attended Southern Illinois University majoring in Aviation with a minor in Business Administration. Later, he worked at Allied Chemicals as a field service engineer installing refrigeration systems to reduce the amount of CFCs that were being used in circuit board cleaning. He joined Compaq Computer and began to work on the company’s first SMT production lines supporting approximately 20 surface mount lines. After 10 years at Compaq, David was transferred to Salem NH, and eventually accepted a position at Sanmina-Sci as a Senior SMT Engineer. During his 9-year tenure at Sanmina, he became Process Engineering Manager and SMT Manager with controlling responsibilities of the day-to-day production and operations. He also interfaced with customers and vendors performing DFMs and First Build Analysis. He performed a DOE for solder print process as well as developing many new processes as the technology and complexity of the circuit boards increased.
